Easy Speed Reading Experiments

Here are some easy to implement experiments
to help you with learning how to Speed Read.

1. Read Backwards

Your ablility to concentrate on the problem is an important
part of being successful with Speed Reading. You can try and
train this abiity by reading words in back to front position.

When you mentally read a word back to front you should
imagine it by the letters and then to read these letters.
For example ["move" - "evom"], ["sob' - "bos"]. If your
consciousness is distracted on a strange object, you instantly
loose the thread of reading and you have to make the exercise
again. In that way you can train the attention.

Relax with Proper Breathing

Breathing is a good way to enhance your reading rate.
Take solid deep breaths instead of short quick breaths
when you are reading. This has a calming effect and
makes you concentrate better.

Use The Right Tool : Metronome

Place the text before yourself and give yourself the command
execute this instruction clearly and dynamic. Force yourself
to move you eyes with once glance per line.
For e.g. With one click of the metronome jump to the next line.

Remember to adjust the speed of the metonome. When you
are comfortable at certain rate,...challenge yourself by increase
of the speed bit by bit. You will find that your brain will start
to adapt at the speed/rate of reading. Try it now. Have fun!

Strips reading

Cut up the text on three perpendicular strips. Place the
piece before yourself. Make the one-inch blanks between the
strips.Read quickly. The more speed of reading then more
understanding. Soon you will not notice the space between
the strips. Shift central strip in any order. Creating the
brain maximum inconvenience. Let the works for brain! Feel
the eases. Pack the strips in initial order.
Read the text. What do you feel?

Read the First Sentence of Each Paragraph

Since often the first sentence of each paragraph states the
main idea of that paragraph, while the other sentences
elaborate on that idea, you can skim read by just reading
the first sentences. In some cases, you can get enough
information by only reading the first sentence from each
paragraph.

Unfortunately, some writers make their paragraphs so long,
that they have several ideas in them, and others stick the
important sentences in the middle. In such cases, you can't
use the first sentence method effectively.

Browse through the publication - front words or backwards -
so that you get to know what's in it and where it's
located. Notice the layout and how the information is
presented. Notice the table of contents and any special
sections. Don't be too serious - it's best to be playful.

Notice which articles pique your interest, but don't read
them yet. Catch titles, subtitles, pictures, and charts.

When you find something interesting, think of how you can
use it--reading for information should be a goal seeking
activity. Decide how much time you can afford, and then go
for it.

Follow this tip and your reading will become purposeful,
active, questioning and goal oriented...this means you save
time and get more information from the time you spend
reading!

Do not read not every word

Ask you friend to guess the sentence from the text. Try to
find it as faster as you can. Training develops selective
ability of the brain. Sometimes you do not necessary to read
whole text, but need to find important information by
several key words.

While you are performing the exercise try to fix the
subconsciousness condition. What happen in the brain when
you find the answer? What you see, what you hear, what you
feel? Is the word, which you searching for have the color
(bright, red, twinkling, dark, pale). What happen with other
words? Do you pronounce words (what voice, what tone)? What
comes with your hand, belly, throat and eye when you find?
Continue the list of the questions.

Try to understand how do you read (I know it funny).
Understanding helps you to make your plan of speed-read
developing.

Wider eye-span

Develop a wider eye-span. This will help you read more than
one word at a glance. Since written material is less
meaningful if read word by word, this will help you learn to
read by phrases or thought units.

Instead of reading single words one at a time, read them in
groups of 2, 3 or 4. As you fixate on each group by
minimizing the time you spend on each fixation. To overcome
the problems of back skipping and regression use a guide
such as your finger or perhaps a pen or pencil. These ideas
are very simple concepts that can have a powerful effect on
your reading speed if you practice them and make them a
habit.

Active reading

When you are reading a document in detail, it often helps if
you highlight, underline and annotate it as you go on. This
emphasizes information in your mind, and helps you to
review important points later.

Doing this also helps to keep your mind focused on the
material and stops it wandering.

This is obviously only something to do if you own the
document! If you find that active reading helps, then it may
be worth photocopying information in more expensive texts.
You can then read and mark the photocopies.

If you are worried about destroying the material, ask
yourself how much your investment of time is worth. If the
benefit you get by active reading reasonably exceeds the
value of the book, then the book is disposable.

Think for a moment, what you read

You were taught to read with your tongue because you were
taught to read by being taught to speak. Want to enjoy what
you read? Think for a moment, what were the best books
you've ever read in your life? The ones you enjoyed the
most?

I'm going to bet they were the best books for you because
your imagination was totally engrossed in the book. Thus
your brain was working at a much higher capacity when you
were using your imagination.

Hi Expressreadology Blog Readers!

I will be off for National Military Service
for a period of 12 Days from 27 June - 8 July...

What's In Camp Training...

In Singapore , all Singapore male citizen at the age
of 18 and above will have to be enlisted into
Singapore Military Service Full Time for 2 Years.
After Completion of the 2 years Military Service,
we will have to further complete 13 cycles of
Reservice.

This means that we will be recalled for short term
in camp training for further 13 times. The in camp
training will be a period of 1 days-21days depending
on the nature of the training program.

The 13 cycles will spread from the date of Completion
the Full Time Service till the 40 years old.

So I will be going for Reservice to the Nation.
I will be back on the 8 of July. Till then take care.

Get Started Now!

14. JOT YOUR DECISIONS - After reading each
correspondence you receive, jot down a decision immediately.
In this way, you'll avoid having to read the correspondence
a second time in the future.

13. PRIORITIZE YOUR READING MATERIALS -
Create three piles for your reading materials
(important, moderately important, least important) and
then read the materials in order of their importance.

12. PARALLEL READING - Some textbooks are poorly
written or too lengthy. For these books, purchase review
texts that parallel the same material using fewer words and
better explanations.

11. READ SUMMARY FIRST - For original source material
(Plato, Shakespeare, etc.) it pays to read a summary of the
material first before you attempt to read the original
material.

10. FORM A QUESTION - For textbooks and other difficult
materials, turn each subheading into a question and then
read to find the answer to the question.

9. POSITION YOUR MATERIAL - Use a bookstand to angle your
reading material at 45 degrees. This will reduce eye strain
and increase your reading speed.

8. PROPER Reading Environment - Never read in bed
for work or school. Use incandescent lighting and read at a

7. DON'T GET Distracted - Find a distraction-free place and
refuse to be interrupted.

Let me ask a few simple questions:

1. Do you think you would really enjoy
and appreciate watching 20 minutes
good movie today, leaving the
scenes today and continuing another
day for the next 20 minutes till you
have seen the entire movie?

2. After viewing the final segment 1
week kater, would you have understood
or at least enjoyed the whole story and
meaning of the movie?

We will bring the analogy to reading now....

The Time Wasting Truth!

Your reading are most probably done in
very much the same intermittent manner.

You may be complaining now....
"Well, I will love to finish an entire
book in a single session but I have
this to attend and that to do..."

"Furthermore I don't have too
many days to devote several
hours just to read. It simply
become too fatique and boring
to read more than an hour in a
single session..."

This is basically because for
a normal human being, our
mind are somehow automatically
programmed on a single time track!

Humans have a spatial time concept
of 60secs equal 1 min, 60 mins equal a hour,
24 hour equal a day and so on.

Our conscious mind runs along this
single track and thinks about only one
thing at a time. This means that anything
is thought about in an orderly and
constructive manner. It is certainly not
possible to think two or more things
simultaneously.

In order to read effectively, our mind must
be on what is being read. If our mind
lose concentrations and starts to wander(
in other words thinking about other things)
you will not be able to comprehend what you
have covered visually.

Take for example : Have you ever come
across someone who drank too much last
night before comment the morning after
that he/she cannot recall what was said,
heard and seen?

It is not that he/she cannot remember,
but that his/her mind was not in the
condition to be impressed with what he
heard or saw.

Why is the mind inclined to wander ever
so often?

There more than a dozen reasons and causes.
However the main and most common culprit
being -- Boredom

This boredom will alway creeps into the slow
and poorly motivated reader mind and divert
the reader attention elsewhere.

Furthermore slow reading hinders our natural
ability to grasp the concept of what is being
expounded.

It can be quite exceedingly frustrating to
fervently fit the bits and pieces from yesterday's
reading, the day before and perhaps a few weeks
ago.

Imagine that you are now reading a long detective
novel and your contront a minor character, Uncle
John, in the first chapter. Uncle John doesn't re-appear
until the final chapter which you read several days
later. To add to your frustration, you discover that
Uncle John holds an important key to solve the crime
and at the crucial point you don't remember such
a character appeared in the story at any point.

Won't you be anxious and frustrated. Good news,
such problems can be eliminated when you become
an accelerated reader!

A novel such as one mentioned above normally can
be read by a speedreader within a couple of hours.

Definitely in a single session.

Don't you think , if you had read about Uncle John
a few hours ago, you would have a much better chance
of remembering this character vividly. Thus enable you
to fit him into the plot to get a more accurate and complete
understanding of the entire novel.

Yes, by developing the correct habits and attitudes of
a speed reader, you will increase your comprehension
and improve your overall understanding of the subject!

The "Eyes Reading" Issue Continues....

Still remember the previous issue about using
your Eyes to effectively read faster and comprehend
better.

Yes! We will touch a little more about Eyes Reading
Techniques and methodology right now.

However before we are able to proceed any further,
here's a little exercise to determine what types
of "Eyes Reader" are you.

Below are the examples and patterns of four
different types of readers. The number above
each letter is considered as an eyes stop.

The Question:

What type of reader are you at
this very point?

The Slowest Reader:

1-2-3-4-5-6-7-8-9-10-1-1-12
T-H-I-S--I-S-R-E-A-D---I-N-G

Note: Yes the slowest reader read alphabet by alphabet.

The Slow Reader:

This is the category of reader that we are striving to
acheive.

So what type/category of reader
you classified yourself?

From the above examples it is not
difficult to see for yourself how much
longer the "slowest reader" would take
to cover the same reading material.

Therefore it makes good sense for you
to read at least in groups of words
like an average reader speed.

I am one more level up the Fast Reader
pace as I read sentence by sentence.
If I can do it so can you.

My friends, don't hesitate any further.
From now on, try to train youself to
read wordS with a single glance of the
eyes. Best to start with 3-5 words at
a time.

Increase your eyes span to 5-7words
once you are comfortable.

Important Note Of The Day:

Remember do not do silent reading
try to read with your eyes.

You will feel really weird in the beginning
and may not remember what you have read
for a start.

This is normal because up to this stage, your
brain has been wired to read at the rate you
are comfortable. By forcing your brain to adopt
this new reading method, you will gradually
remember more and read faster.

Note: Our brain has the ability to read 10000
words at a single glance(photographic memory)
If you are reading word for word, you are under
mining your brain potential by 1/10000 times.
Get started now, practice reading using eyes
not your mouth(silent reading).

Practice reading every materials that you come
across in your daily activities. For e.g while shopping
for cereals or food products, read the contents/ingredients
printed on the package/surface of the products.

Leverage On Your Eyes

Lies Enormous Reading Power.
Leverage on them and you shall
unlock your full potential to
Speed Read.

Reading speed is intimately linked to
eye movements. Surprise about this fact?
Well let me give you a clearer explanation.....

How do you remember people faces?

Ans: Reading their faces, noticing their
facial appearances and perhaps their
unique taste of fashions.

Say if I were to describe to you how
a person look like, can you visually
identify this person immediately?

Get my point? Great!

Our eyes not only add our life with
colors, they actually perform more
complicated functions and links directly
to how we actually remember stuff
we have seen and read.

Let me give you another example.

Get any newspaper article, read it aloud.
After you have read the article, are you
able to remember CLEARLY what you
have read?

Reading aloud serves the same purpose
as reading silently, even if you are able
to remember what you have read "Silently"
, you will tend to find difficulties to recall/
remember sometime later.

So what causes us to remember and
able to recall what we have read?

You bet it: Your eyes!

Our brain uses our 5 senses to
obtain external information,
interpret and store them into
our memories for future retrieval.

Our eyes are the fastest and easiest
way for us to capture most of the
information we need while we read.

We have the ability to remember
a stranger face with one glance,
that is amazingly faster than any advance
computer processor ever made by
humans!

After my explanations, I hope you are
convinced that your eyes is crucial for
your speed reading ability.

How do you make use of your eyes
to speed read?

Reading rate is controlled primarily
by the deviations of fixations made
per line of print.

The slower the reader, the more his/her
eyes move as he/she struggles over the
printed page.

Extremely slow readers may make as
many more visual stops per line as there
are letters in the words on that line!
(In other words, letter by letter)

Average readers stop only once every
two or three words and increasing
their words per glance as they move
forward.

Good readers normally stop less than
two glance per line. In fact the most
effective ways to increase reading rate
would be to reduce the amount of eye
movement.

Your eyes are like built in camera!

The best way to better understand
the role of eyes to reading is to compare
them to a camera.

As you know, when we take photograph
of an object, the film and the camera must
be perfectly still when the camera's shutter
is open.

If the camera is not still while capturing
the object image, the unfortunate result
will be a blur on the image taken.

Simply say, if you want clear and sharp
image, both the subject and camera must
be still at the instant the shutter snaps.

Let's bring this principle to speed reading.
Our eyes can see perfectly well enough to
read with precision and certainty ONLY
when they are absolutely still.

You will also remember what you have
read better. (Remember that stopping
at each word while you read make no
sense to the brain.)

When the eyes are in constant motion across
the printed line, all the words are actually
blurred and therefore no actual reading
can take place.

Clearly, if you want to read productively,
All eyes movement is a definite waste of
time, energy and comprehension.

Remember when you read, you act like
a photographer. In order for you to
capture the letters, words, phrases,
sentences, chapters, books, you must
move your Built in Camera (eyes) to
determine your subject, snap the picture,
and then repeat the process.

Important Lesson of the Day:

Do not waste your eyes movement

by reading letter by letter, word by
word. Try and increase your visual
span by reading more then one word
with one single eye movement.

Remember that you eyes resemble
a camera. For you to read effectively
with better comprehension and
retention, you must learn how to
snap the picture(words/sentences)
with minimum eye movements.

Revealed: Poor and Unhealthy Reading Habits

I am sure that you are keen to get rid of that
Poor and Unhealthy Reading Plaugue!

So what do I mean by POOR and Unhealthy Reading?

If you are reading at 150 words per minute (wpm) rate,
thats poor reading and certainly unhealthy.

Disagree with my above statement?

Let me give you a Scenario..............

Joe was 6 years old when he first put on
his first running shoes. The shoe was bought
to him buy his Dad during his 6th birthday.

His father was a international champion runner
and had won many prestigious medals. Deep
within Joe's dad heart, he hope that one day Joe
will succeed him as a Nation Glory.

However Joe was born with weak limps. He
was never able to walk without the help of his
tiny clutches. Even though Joe aspire to be like
his dad, he felt inferior and totally helpless.

On his 6th birthday, Joe recieved an unexpected
gift from his beloved dad. A branded new running
shoe Joe had never dream of owning and putting on.

Ever since, despite Joe difficulties in walking,
he was determined to be a successful runner
like his dad. Every morning Joe will wake up without
fail with his dad and they would arrive at a running trek
a few blocks away from their house.

Initially Joe needed his dad support to actually
mimic how to run like a runner. Day by day Joe
improved, eventually he was able to throw away
his clutches and even run without his dad support

Joe started to time each of his running session everyday
and always aimed to out perform the previous record
set by himself.

He challenged himself to extreme.
Initially he was running at 10minutes for 100m....
then it became... 9 minutes for 100m....then...
8,7,6,5,4,3,2,1.. 60second..50,40,30,20.... and by
the age of 15 his speed was......
10 sec for 100m!

The Moral of the Story:

We started to read at an age similar to Joe when he
first started to learn how to run. Joe has improved
tremendously with consistent practice.

Why do our reading speed remain stagnant?

If you are 25 years old now, you have been reading
for the past 19 years(magazine, books, e.t.c) . We
have been actually conciously or subconciously
practicing reading for many years.

Why you are still reading at this current speed
where everybody has the potential to increase
their speed to at least 1000wpm.

How You Learn to Read Slowly?

The reason is simple: Each individual reads mainly
at the basic rate he or she has been taught.

Our rate of reading are fixed by how fast we speak.
When we first entered elementary school, we were
first taught to recongnize letters of alphabet.

The only way for a teacher to check each student
progress at that stage is ORALLY. Therefore
each student is required to respond aloud. At this
stage a student cannot be expected to prove his/her
progess with written Examinations.

As many of us procceed to learn simple words,
expression, phrases and sentences, still our
reading response is oral.

When eventually we reach a certain degree of
word recognition proficiency, we are told to read
to ourself silently.

To prevent us from uttering continous audible
sounds, our teachers will instruct us to hold our
finger or hands over our mouths.

Soon this silent reading habit fixed our reading
speed at the same slow pace we speak. From then
onwards we are not given the actual instruction to
learn how to increase our speed in reading.
Very soon we start to look for pictures and ideas
rather than just reading at a slow continous pace.

In fact, ideas and information are the important
benefits to be gained from silent reading,not the
words themselves.

Little did we realise that we read only slightly
faster than the snail's pace "silent oral reading"
from elementary school to University.

What a shame and unneccessary waste of mental,
educational and human potential!

8 Speed Reading Hindering Enemies to GET RID.

Right now I am going to show you some of the
old habits (enemies within) that are hindering
our reading rate.

1) Indivdual Traits : intelligence, motivation,
physiological and psychological traits

2) Deficiencies in vocabulary and comprehension
required by the reading material. If you do not understand
what you are reading, there is no way you can read fast.
If you are hampered by an inadequate vocabulary words,
there may be a difficulties in skipping through text with
vaguely undefined words.

3) Regression - Habit of looking back what was missed
the first time.

4) Subvocalization - Little voice in your brain that says
the words to yourself(silent reading).

5) Progression - Habit or urge to keep flipping foward or
distracted with the page numbers or small print at the
end/side of a page.

6) Failure to preview - Unable to first skim through each
reading material, and identify the major point/s the author
is trying to get across.

7) Poor Eye/Visual Spans - Habit of looking at one word
at a time. The habit of restricting your eyes movement a
word at a time.

Human eyes can actually have a visual spans of 220 degrees
/360 degrees. Why read one word at a time where we can
read a few words at any time.

8) Mental Concentration - Wandering of the minds thus unable
to concentrate on the current materials.

Above are the 8 Enemies you will have to face to succeed in
speed reading. You may have only a few of the unhealthy
habits or the 8 habits listed above. Do not fret at the problems
above.

These Unhealthy habits can be resolved with Self Discipline
and motivated consistency.

Here's a Chinese Proverb that says;
Know Yourself (Strength/ability),Know
Your Enemy (Strength/Weakness),
You shall triumph in every battle you
engage upon.

This ancient proverb still holds true to date
and applicable in whatever endeavor we engage
upon.

Undoubtedly the proverb applies to
your enhancement in your Speed Read-
ability.

Know Yourself:

1) Have you ever timed your Reading Speed?
2) Have you ever measure your comprehension
/retention ability after you read a chapter?
3) Are you able to recall at least 70 percent of
what you have read?

If your answer is NO to any of the questions
above, then you have wasted much of your
time reading. Even if you are able to retain at
much as 70 percent of what you have read
at 100 words per minute speed, you have wasted
much time.

Why settle with 100 words per minute with
70 percent retention rate. Why not 300 words
per minute at 70 percent retention rate?!

Know your Enemy:

1) Have you taken initiative to time your
reading speed?
2) Have you ever taken initiative to measure
your comprehension/retention rate?
If you answer is NO again to any of the questions
above then.................

YOUR ENEMY IS NON OTHER THAN
YOURSELF!

Anybody can Achieve anything only if you
set your mind fixated upon the goal and discipline
yourself till you get to your desired goal .
At this moment set your goal is to at least double you
reading speed with increase in comprehension
rate.

Most of the time we would shift the blame on others
for the lack of achievements but psychologically, its
the lack of individual discipline that make our self
weak and vulnerable and unconsciously succumb
to our Internal Enemy.

So what do I mean by " Internal Enemy" ?
1. Laziness
2. Procrastination
3 Self doubt
4. Fear

Above are a few of the major deadly
Enemies we have to face daily. I have them,
you have them, everybody have them.

Now the only way for you to overcome all these
fatal enemies:

Exert Self Discipline!

You may disagree with me and says,
" Nobody ever teaches me how read
in a more effective and fast methods till I stumbled
upon this blog now? This is why I am stuck here
to find out more. Isn't this not initiative?"

My answer: What took you so long?

Let us not waste any more time further!
You will have to learn about you Current
Reading Speed.

Then we shall work on how to double that
rate.

Next we will work on conquering your enemies
within.

First Things First.........

Take Inventory of your Current Reading Speed

You must now determine your present
reading rate (words per minute) and
comprehension ability. You must follow
the steps mentioned below faithfully in order
to achieve a most accurate possible measure
of your own reading speed and retention rate.
If you have a reading material(preferably
a book)with you now, turn to a New Chapter.

Else go get a book before you continue this
simple exercise.

STEP 1:

Estimate the number of words per page:

Now count the words on 5 FULL LINES and
divide by 5 to get the average number of words
per line. (Count all words as one no matter
how few or how many letters.

Count also all numerals symbols, formulas,
e.t.c as single words.

Next count the numbers of lines on a full page
(whether full line or not doesn't matter) and
multiply the number of lines (usually 26-40
lines) by the average number of words per line
you have obtained earlier.

This will give you a close estimation of the
number of words on a page.

Then from the New Chapter you are presently
at now, select the first 10 page and multiply with
the estimation of the number of words on a page
earlier.
(e.g. 400 words per page multiply by 10 page is
approximately 4000 words. )

Step 2:

Get Set, Ready, Start! :

In order to time yourself, get a stopwatch
or clock. If you are using a clock, adjust
a clock so that the minute and second hands
are synchronized.

If you are using a clock:
Select a starting time in advance and take note
Start Time :
Minutes________ Seconds________

Once the second hand and minute hands reach
the time you have written down.
Start Reading!

SIDE TRACK:

Before You Start to READ you need to
PREVIEW:

1) Thoroughly read the outside of the book.
2) Check the title, author's name and read
all comments on the covers.
3) Take note any information given about
the author, his qualifications, experiences.
4) Check the publisher's name, copyright
date.
5) Read the Headlines of the the Chapter, and
sub-headlines within the chapter.
6) Note the layout of the chapter.
7) Read through the conclusion/summary of
the chapter.

More will be discuss about previewing(the
fundamental of speed reading)

IMPORTANT NOTE: You are strongly
advised to read at your normal rate
at this moment.

Record your finishing time:
Minutes: _________ Seconds: _________

Step 3:

How to Figure Out Your Reading Rate?

1) Subtract your Starting time from
your Ending time. (say 5mins 10secs - 0 mins)
2) Convert your whole minutes into seconds by
multiplying by 60.
(e.g. 5mins * 60= 300 secs)
3) Now add to the extra seconds.
(e.g. 300sec + 10 sec = 310sec)
4) Divide the total seconds to the number of
total words you have calculated earlier.
(e.g. 4000 words / 310 sec = 12.901)
5) Round of to the nearest single decimal place.
(e.g. 12.901 to 12.9)
6) Multiply the number in step 5 by 60 and voila
you get your words per minute rates.
(e.g. 12.9*60 = 774 wpm)
7) Record your results:________wpm

Step 4:

How do you Figure you Retention Rate?

Answer the following questions:

10 points for each question you answered
correctly. Please be true to yourself if you
really intend to improve your reading rate.

Get yourself a piece of paper and pen.
Write your answer on that piece of paper
to the ten questions below.

1) Who is the author?
2) What is the Title of the chapter?
3) What is the Title of the Book?
4) What are the key points the author is getting
across?
5) The actual number of the pages you have just
read? E.g. page 123-133
6) Is there a summary written?
7) Are there any graphics? If yes, how many of them?
8) Are there any questions in the end. If yes, how many?
9) Are there any sub headings in the chapter? Can you
recall them?
10) Ask yourself how much you have understand about
the chapter?

Please note that the above questions are open ended. You
will have to refer back your book in search for answers
after you have answered the questions above.

Now calculate your Retention Rate _________%

Congratulations! If you have follow the exercise
diligently, you have now Know Yourself ( your
current reading speed)

It is certainly normal if you find yourself
within 100-150 wpm rate.

You must now aim to achieve at least double
your present reading rate and increase you
current retention rate.

However before you can significantly improve
you reading speed.

You will still have to Know Your Enemy.

If you understand these word easily, you can read faster.
It is normal that you some doubts or reservations. You
might say that it is impossible, that you can read so fast
and that is it.

Definitely it is NOT TRUE. This belief must be overruled!
It is entirely possible for all readers with at least
average abilities to apply themselves to the principle
of speed reading and I will share with everybody here
without any reservation.

If we can double our reading speed, what does it
means to you?

That means to read 2 similar books in the time you take to
read a single book. You will understand what you read
even much better than before.

I was able to increase my speed from 150 words
per minute (considered a slow reader) to 400 words
per minute in 30 days. Of course it is not as easy as
it seems.

There must be a desire to succeed and a willingness to
practice as required are necessary if you aspire to
become a faster and certainly effective accelerated
reader in the shortest time possible.

Now the REAL question is....... Are you willing to
discipline your-self in learning the Techniques
and Technologies discussed here for the next
30days?

How much time can you save if you can
double, triple your reading rate!

YES! You can save yourself much PRECIOUS TIME.
At the same time Enhance your Comprehension
Rate Efficiently!

Before we start You will need to understand and
acknowledge that every single of us gain our knowledge
through constant reading.

Some of you may disagree and say, " Who says so, I gain
my knowledge through practical experiences in the real
world. I am not going to get bother with reading, it's such
a waste of time."

Yes, it is indeed true that practical experiences play a
critical part in our learning curves. But our basis in
gaining useful ideas, better information, is still reading
on books that enable us to gain a new insight and ignite
the creativity spark that are suppressed within us.

impact to the good of Human Mankind through books

I have read numerous books about Speed Reading, applied
all the techniques taught consistently. I have done the
in depth research in this area of expertise.

In fact most of the speed reading technologies taught are
inter-related and certainly similar. Although there are
still unique ideas that have contribute my breakthrough in
the research of Effective Speed Reading.

I manage to weed out the " Extra NON Useful details" and
devised a strategy on Actual Step By Step Guide to increase
reading speed at least by 2 times.

An important factor to note:

In order for anyone to increase your reading Fast-ability
they must acknowledged and accept without reservation
the benefits of reading is to gain informations, ideas,
mental pictures and entertainment.

Not to fret over words.

If you are able to realize that words in and
of themselves are for the most part insignificant
(exception to compilers of dictionaries). You must
know that an author combines all these word to form
ideas and relates important messages to you.

Once you realize this fact, your path to Success in Speed
Reading will be MUCH Easier. That was HOW I STARTED.

Important Note of the DAY:

Realize this FACT, when you read do not
emphasize much on each word but the Whole Idea/Important
Messages that the Author is getting across. Your
comprehension will greatly increase and Speed will
naturally follow with consistent practice!
